One shot at it.

Do you ever wonder why people hide who they really are to other people. Why is it that we are not always ourselves. Why do we keep fighting to be something that were not did our ancestors do such a thing.

I find it hard to believe that they did. They were who they were and no matter what no one could take that away. This is your life and you have to live it, so why not live it the best way you can. It’s such a small journey to take and enjoy so why do we have to go all out to be something were not. People need to focus on themselves and stop trying to be someone their not. You can’t go broke trying to please someone who is already broke.

It to easy to live your life and do the things you want to do for you and your family. Every chapter you write is for you not no one else. Just like you can’t live your dreams through your children. You had your chance now let them be great on there own. Being honest and up front is the best thing you can do for you. Always keep it 100.

The time is now.

This morning while reading my daily devotional this was the words for today. These words hit me like no other words had ever hit me before. It helped guide me through the day and to face some things I’ve been fighting with in my heart and my head.

“In life we experience highs and lows, good times and bad–and we must understand the God is God in the valley and God on the mountaintop. You may know the story of the poem “Footprints in the Sand.” The speaker wonders why, during the most difficult times of life, there was only one set of footprints in the sand. Why had God left her alone in those trials and times of trouble? The Lord replied, “The times when you have seen only one set of footprints is when I carried you.”

We experience hard times as individuals and collectively (we’ll never forget 9/11’ for example),and many times people want to blame God. The truth is, the evil one puts such ideas into the hearts of men, but God is always there to help us get through the aftermath. Such times of tragedy provide a tremendous opportunity for Christians to show the love of God through words and deeds.

Satan tries to use hard times to separate us from God.but hard times can actually push us believers closer to God. The hardest challenges and deepest valleys force us to rely on God. During those struggles we realize He is always there and all we need. We learn in a new way that God’s grace is more than sufficient, that “we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us”.”

This Christmas

What a beautiful day filled with family and friends. I always enjoy this time of the year because it brings people together. I’m thankful for this time and will always cherish them.

Quitting Something

Why does it seem like when someone quits something they feel bad about doing it or believe that they’re a failure because they did it. Sometimes you quit things because simple there not for you or you do it because of other opportunities. Why would you even feel like your a failure at it because you quit something. Someone who quits something for the first time ever may have mixed emotions about the situation. Don’t ever doubt yourself when you do something that you feel was the right thing to do. That’s why it is always said that you shouldn’t make rash decisions when your upset. Take the time to cool off and really think about if this is something that you truly want to do. The track can be as long or as short as you want it to, but there is always more beyond what you see at the moment.

Why is it

Do we really buy into this statement I need help understanding that forgiveness is a sign of weakness and how is it categorized as mental illness. This statement loses me on so many levels and I just need to know if I’m alone with my thoughts of it.

Success in gardening

I started my garden planting cucumbers, onions, squash and peppers. Only thing that I managed to actually grow were the peppers. Even though I was dedicated to doing this I didn’t put enough effort and committed into learning how to take care of my garden.

So needless to say only my peppers had survived. I’m proud to say that I did manage to grow peppers. For my first time I did well I learned a lot from my failures and promise to do better next year. This was a process and I’m proud of what I have achieved. I learned that with anything that you are trying to grow you will have some failures. What counts is staying committed to that process and learning from those mistakes and methods.
